I'd say that it is. The Harrington is a stock Porter catolog locomotive, and it saw the bulk of its service life in Michigan. There is a photograph of it in
Micheal Koch's book "Steam and Thunder in the Timber". On page 208 it shows it in service at the Glen Haven Cannery. It was loaned to Traverse City and displayed with other logging artifacts in the early 1930's. In 1965 the heirs of the owner (D. H. Day(?) ) sold it to George Roose. With the retirement of Mr. Roose all his personal property that had been displayed/stored at CP was removed. The Harrington is now in the posession of a museum in Michigan. I believe there is a thread here that goes into that. |
